Appearance: Maka is a small girl for her age, which she really doesn't care about. Her appearance isn't her main concern, rather her studying is. She simply wears a plaid skirt, with a pair of black combat-ie boots, with three of four buckles on each boot. She has a really small frame which she often gets made fun of for, especially for her rather flat chest. On her torso she wears a white undershirt and a green plaid tie, with a long black coat over that, with a long tail that reaches the ground when she stands. On her hands she usually has a pair of white gloves, which let her grip her weapon better. Maka is a blond, wearing her hair in pigtails almost always.
Personality: Maka is a studious girl. While other girls her age worry about who their boyfriend this week is, Maka worries about her studies. She has no interest in sports or other things that normal kids do. She's best described as a serious girl who tries hard. Her goal in life is to be as good as her mother, who was a master Weapon Technician. She studies her best and works so hard in order to live up to her mother's name.

As much as she loves her mother(who she hasn't seen in years) she is currently holding a lot of dislike for her father. A few years ago her parents got divorced because her father couldn't stop flirting with other women. She can't stand men and their adulterating ways, and has a hard time trusting any male. When any male gets out of line around her she usually responds with a Maka Chop, where she nails the boy with a book over the head.

Maka thinks things through whenever fighting, usually working at trying to find her enemy's weakness and exploiting it. That said, she would rather not fight at all, but knows it's the only way she can surpass her mother and help to make the world better. She is immensely protective of her best friend and weapon, Soul, and would do anything to protect him.

Abilities/Weapons: Maka comes from a school with it's roots deep in the magic roots of the floating continent. The Shibusen, is a school currently run by the Ivona military, that trains weapons and weapon technicians. The weapons are children who are born with the talent of transforming into a weapon, including everything from scythes to swords to spears. Each weapon is matched with a weapon technician who are on compatible soul wavelengths, and work together all through school until they join the military.

Maka is a Technician who's partner is 'Soul Eater', a boy who transforms into a scythe. Maka is very good at wielding Soul, being one of the top technicians in the school, from academic tests to fighting.

The secret technique of Maka and Soul is their 'Soul Resonance' which they focus on maintaining an equal soul length to let out their full power. In that state Soul turns from a large scythe to a giant double ended scythe.

Weaknesses: One of Maka's weaknesses is her young body. Even though Maka has been working hard to be a better fighter she is still a young girl with a skinny frame. She only manages to weild Soul's scythe form so well because to her he seems to weigh nothing. Otherwise, she is still learning to fight, and can be beaten by a more skilled fighter. And without Soul Eater, she has no fighting ability at all unless another 'weapon' is compatible with her. With no weapon at all she is very weak.

Another weakness is Maka's terrible social skills. All her life she would rather read and be alone than talk to anyone. She doesn't know a lot of other things that most kids know, like typical games or even dating standards.

History: Maka was born a to a loving family, the only child. Her father and mother were weapon and weapon technician, her father a scythe. She had a fairly normal childhood until she was taken into the Shibusen, the same school her parents went to, at the age of 9. Up until then she was home tutored by her mother and going to school was a weird experience. For the first time she was with other kids and interacting with them. She hardly made friends, as she spent more time with her nose in a book than talking to anyone, and it went that way for sometime.
